What Should I Offer?
Take the inspection quotes off the car's value. See the most to pay, where to start, and when to walk away.
Enter the car and what the inspection found.
The estimate assumes a car in typical condition for its miles. Every dollar of work it needs now comes off what you pay.
Asking $229,900 · 14,200 miles
Ask the seller to take $10,400 off, or to do the work before you buy. Do not pay more than $219,500.
This answer counts no work: repairs, service due, and money for unknowns are all $0. Add the shop quotes from the inspection before you offer.

How it works
How much should you offer on a used exotic car?
The most to pay is the car's value in typical condition, minus the work it needs now. The estimate already assumes normal wear for the miles. So every repair the inspection finds is money you should not pay twice.
- Get the estimated value and range for the exact model and mileage. A free Value Check gives you both.
- Get a pre-purchase inspection and a written quote for each problem it finds.
- Add the repairs, any service that is due now, and money for anything the inspection could not check.
- Take that total off the estimate. That is the most to pay. Start from the low end of the range minus the same total.
- Walk away if the asking price plus the work is more than 16% above the estimate.

Common questions
Before you use your estimate.
How much should I offer on a used exotic car?
Start from what similar cars are worth in typical condition. Take off the cost of every repair the inspection found, any service that is due, and money for anything it could not check. That number is the most to pay.
Should I ask the seller to fix it or to lower the price?
Either works. Ask the seller to do the work before you buy, or to take the quoted cost off the price. Get every quote in writing from the shop.
When should I walk away?
Walk away when the asking price plus the work is more than 16% above the estimate. Also walk away when the work costs about as much as the car is worth.
What if the asking price is far below similar cars?
Do not treat it as a bargain yet. A price more than 18% below the estimate can mean a title, history, or seller problem. Check those before you make any offer.
Is this an appraisal?
No. It is a planning number for your offer. This site gives price estimates for car buyers. It is not an appraisal, financial advice, investment advice, or an offer to buy or sell a car.
