1. Start with completed sales

Exotic Index keeps a record of completed exotic-car sales. We check the car, sale price, and our right to use each fact before it affects a public result. We use those sales to estimate value, depreciation, mileage cost, and a buyer verdict. We do not republish source listings. Every result includes a range and the number of similar cars used for the estimate.

2. Compare like with like

We group similar cars and account for mileage. We then estimate a typical value and range. Fewer similar sales produce a wider range.

3. Turn the range into a decision

Value Check compares the asking price with that range and gives you a price to aim for. Deal Score rates the listing price and details, not the car itself. The result is Buy, Fair, Stretch, Walk, or Check.

A suspiciously cheap car is a warning, never a win. A price far below the range returns Check so you know to verify the title, history, condition, and seller story.

What we never do

A few hard rules protect the numbers:

• We never republish source listings, photos, or descriptions. We record facts (price, date, mileage) and do the math ourselves.
• We never ingest another company’s opinion of a car’s value. Facts in, our analysis out.
• We never pass your information to dealers.
• We make no investment claims. Cars are cars; this information helps buyers decide, not manage investments.
