What we collect

We collect only what the product needs to work:

• Account information: your email address and name when you use a supported sign-in service. We never see or store the password you use with that service.
• Content you provide: listings you check, vehicle identification numbers (VINs) you enter, cars you watch, and saved value-check history tied to your account.
• Payment information: our payment processor handles payment details. We store your membership status and order history, but never your card number.
• Usage data: pages you visit, features you use, and a rough location based on your internet connection. We use this product analytics data to improve the service.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in and to understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or session replay. Browser analytics does not load when your browser asserts Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

How we use it

We use your information to run value checks and produce reports. We also use it to keep your watchlist and history across devices, process payments and memberships, send receipts and report deliveries, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information or share it with dealers, brokers, or advertisers.

If you subscribe to Market Notes, we use your email only to send that newsletter. It is a separate opt-in with double confirmation, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from Market Notes does not affect transactional email tied to your account.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that run the product for us. They provide sign-in, database hosting, payment processing, product analytics, account email, and web hosting. Each provider may use the data only as needed to provide its service under its contract with us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the account page or by contacting us. We then delete your personal information or remove details that identify you within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting, or legal purposes. Value observations we keep for market research have identifying details removed and are no longer tied to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You may also be able to object to or limit some uses of it. To use these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within the time your local law requires, and we do not treat you differently for using your rights.

You can also turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in a supported browser. These are browser settings that ask sites not to track your activity. They stop product analytics from loading here. Essential sign-in, security, and payment processing still work when either setting is on.

Security

We encrypt data while it moves between your browser and our service. We limit and log access to production data. Our database rules limit each account to its own data, and payment credentials never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Children

Exotic Index is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify signed-in users by email or an in-product notice before the changes take effect.
