What Exotic Index is, and is not

Exotic Index provides information about exotic and collector cars. It shows value ranges, Deal Scores, red flags, ownership costs, and sale risk.

Deal Score rates the listing as a deal, not the car itself. A red flag is a fact that needs more checking. Sale risk shows how hard the car may be to sell later.

Value Check covers more than one hundred model groups. Each result shows a range and the number of similar cars behind the estimate.

Exotic Index is not an appraisal service, dealer, broker, marketplace, lender, or investment adviser. Its estimates are not appraisals or offers to buy or sell a car. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

A result, including Buy, gives information about a listing. It is not a recommendation to make a deal. Check the exact car before you send money. This includes an inspection and checks of the title, history, and build record.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to use the service. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You may delete your account at any time; we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Memberships, reports, and billing

Some features are free; others require a paid membership or a one-time report purchase. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor.

• Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Prices may change; we will give you notice before a change affects an active renewal.
• One-time report purchases are delivered digitally. If a report fails to deliver or is materially defective, contact us within 14 days for a re-run or refund.
• Except as described above or required by law, purchases are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, resell, or redistribute our estimates, reports, or data feeds without written permission.
• Use the service to build or train a competing valuation product.
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or paid-feature gates.
• Submit content you do not have the right to submit, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The service, including the scoring methodology, report formats, design, and content we create, belongs to Exotic Index and its licensors. Reports you purchase are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use in evaluating a vehicle. Listing data, photographs, and marks referenced in reports belong to their respective owners.

Estimates and third-party data

Market data is incomplete, listings change quickly, and sellers can describe cars incorrectly. Estimates can be wrong, and fewer similar completed sales produce a wider range. Every estimate includes its supporting example count. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on an estimate, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a seller.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without express or implied warranties. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exotic Index will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. It will not be liable for lost profits, savings, or opportunities, including losses from a vehicle purchase or sale.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold Exotic Index harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Exotic Index is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will update the date above and notify signed-in users before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
